Audio Guarantee Engineer
Remote
Salary up to £49,000
Our partner is looking to continue to expand their Outside Broadcast and Remote Operations, Award Winning, Industry Leading, Audio Department.
As an Audio Guarantee you will take charge of all areas of audio engineering on location or within a Remote Broadcast Gallery. You will be instrumental in maintaining high standards from the planning stages through to transmission.

Sports contracts include European Tour Golf, Premier League and European Football, Test Match and Domestic Cricket, International and Domestic Rugby, NFL, The Boat race, the London Marathon, Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, Commonwealth Games and Badminton & Burghley Horse trials.
Entertainment contracts include the Brit Awards, The Baftas, Dancing On Ice, Crufts, X-Factor, National Television Awards, National Theatre Live, Britain’s Got Talent, Glastonbury The Isle of Wight Festival, Concerts, Game Shows, Opera and many more strands. We also deliver 24 hours in A&E, First Dates, Celebs Go Dating and many other Fixed Rig shows.
What to expect:
- Configuring, maintaining, and operating digital audio consoles.
- Programming and operation of video and audio routing systems, embedders, and Dolby encoders.
- Co-ordination of all talkback communications on site.
- Specifying audio equipment and crewing levels for productions, recommending appropriate microphones and their placement. Audio mixing as required.
Who are we looking for:
- A minimum of 3 years sound engineering experience in a live television environment, preferably in outside broadcasts.
- Demonstrable experience of digital sound consoles, in particular Calrec mixers.
- Thorough knowledge of multichannel sound processing and encoding.
- Extensive experience of configuring intercom systems, in particular Telex and Riedel.
- Programming and installation of RF base stations and radios, and an understanding of licensing procedures.
- Working knowledge of ISDN and telephony, 2-wire systems and VOIP.
- Conversant with network and IP protocols.
- An understanding of different video formats and their implications on audio processing.
