We are looking for:
ASG is a leading provider of technology and media solutions, dedicated to helping our clients create exceptional, immersive events and experiences. We are currently looking for a highly skilled Audio Engineer/A1 to join our team on a project-by-project basis and provide ad-hoc support for our exciting upcoming schedule of events. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating technical equipment, ensuring client specifications are met, and delivering projects on time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the director, sound designer, producer, or client to understand the sound requirements of each production.
- Ensure a well-mixed event that caters to both streaming and live event experiences.
- Work closely with A2s and/or presenters to properly position and track lav microphones.
- Prepare, organize, and manage handheld microphones as required.
- Follow the run-of-show document to ensure smooth show flow.
- Coordinate with other crew members to execute audio elements before and during shows.
- Conduct rehearsals with performers and the artistic production team, making necessary adjustments to equipment setup and cue sheets.
- Take direction from the stage manager or show caller to ensure all cues are executed as intended.
- Perform sound checks before every performance to guarantee optimal audio quality.
- Test all show playback elements for proper play out.
- Select and deploy appropriate technical sound equipment that best suits the production's needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in operating Audio Mixing consoles, including the A+H dLive C3500 and Yamaha CL & QL series.
- Ability to program and operate mixers, microphones, and other audio equipment effectively.
- Good understanding of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, and Twinlane.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team, including talent, producers, and directors.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
The is a temporary, project- based position. The compensation for this role is between $50-125 per hour, commensurate with experience
