Audio Cataloguing and Support Officer
Part Time 18 hours, Fixed Term for 2 years
Location: St Pancras
This post will support the work of the British Library / Qatar Foundation Partnership Programme to preserve and catalogue part of the World and Traditional Music audio collection of relevance to the cultural history of the Persian Gulf region (specifically: early 20th century commercial releases on 78rpm shellac discs). Working closely with the Gulf History Audio Curator & Cataloguer the post will:
Assist the Gulf History Audio Curator & Cataloguer in identifying, cataloguing, and creating Submission Information Packages for digitised audio materials;
- Supporting the work of the Copyright and Compliance and the Translation teams as it pertains to the Qatar Project’s audio content stream.
