Job description

We are searching for a lawyer in the following areas: Family Law and Litigation

• You must be highly motivated, self-starter, well organized and have a small book of business.
• You must have excellent client care and personal administration skills as evidenced by your ability to handle a large case load and receive client referrals.
• Client-service oriented with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A sense of urgency to get things done with strong persuasion skills.
• Powerful communication skills, both written and oral.
• Demonstrate an ability to handle and complete multiple projects simultaneously, and under pressure with attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

Education Qualifications:

• J.D/LL.B from a qualified Law School
• Successful completion of the Bar
• Be a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario

For lawyers experienced in Family Law you should have the following:

• Broad knowledge and experience with the Family Law Rules, legal procedures, statutes and regulations applicable to Family Law
• Proficient computer skills, including PC Law and Divorcemate
• Proficient in drafting pleading, affidavits, briefs, document brief, separation agreements, factums, financial statements, etc.
• Comfortable and experience in attending at court for conferences/motions and trials
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Fee Split to be further discussed
