PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, and under general direction, the Stores Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of the Stores function, including receiving, checking, storing and/or distributing incoming materials and goods, and maintaining all necessary records. May provide supervision to the Stores Assistant as assigned.
The Store Coordinator obtains pricing and delivery information, receives, unpacks and stores materials, stores materials including gases and chemicals, issues and delivers goods, and supervises designated staff as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives and unpacks incoming goods; checks goods received and invoices against the appropriate order documents. Signs delivery slips.
Stores materials, including gases and chemicals (germicides), appropriately, ensuring suitable security and/or access.
Maintains inventory records by recording stock receipts and disbursements; advises CFO and/or Managers when established re-order point is reached. Verifies inventory levels by physical count as necessary.
Codes invoices for allocation to ordering Department.
Issues and/or delivers goods to facility Departments or work-units upon receipt of requisitions or in accordance with pre-determined regular supply needs. Maintains records as necessary.
Orders goods by completing purchase orders and forwarding to designated suppliers; ensures appropriate approvals.
Contacts suppliers/shippers as necessary to obtain pricing and delivery information, to order goods, or to resolve discrepancies or concerns such as incorrect invoices, pricing problems, outstanding orders, damaged goods. Organizes invoice adjustments as required. Returns items when directed to do so, by packing and shipping appropriately.
May supervise designated staff by performing duties such as scheduling and co-ordinating work assignments, determining related training and orientation requirements and giving input to employee performance evaluation as required.
Assists CFO to assess and improve systems, procedures, forms etc., concerning Stores function throughout the organization; recommends changes. Maintains all necessary administrative records/reports.
Ensures safety of residents while performing all job duties and reports any adverse events to supervisor immediately.
Maintains clean, safe and orderly work area.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Grade 12 plus 2 years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Knowledge of computerized inventory record systems would be an asset. Familiarity with MS Office required.

SALARY: $26.06/Hourly - Grid 16
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
