What you will do:
Player One Amusement Group, a division of Cineplex Entertainment LP, has an immediate opening for the position of Arcade Attendant. This position is based at the Games Rooms located at Canada’s Wonderland, 1 Canada's Wonderland Drive, Maple, ON L6A 1S6, Canada. This is a seasonal hourly role that will run from Spring to Fall of 2023. You will be expected to work a variable schedule which will include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Player One Amusement Group (P1AG) employs over 500 people in 21 offices throughout Canada and the United States. One of North America’s leading providers of interactive video, redemption, amusement gaming and vending equipment, it specializes in solution servicing and design for a wide range of customers in the theatrical exhibition vertical as well as community-based entertainment destinations such as bowling centres, restaurants, games rooms, shopping centres and water parks.
The Arcade Attendant is responsible for supporting P1AG Operations with the presentation and working condition of the facility including its amusement equipment, redemption counter, storage areas in addition to providing exceptional guest service while maintaining Canada’s Wonderland’s standards of operation.
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional and friendly guest service
- Obtain payment for playcard purchases in the form of debit and credit
- Maintain cash out operations by following policies and procedures
- Upsell playcards to maximize guest service
- Redeem prizes for guests at the Redemption counter and obtain e-tickets as payment
- Maintaining redemption operations by following policies and procedures
- Restocking of merchandise
- Address and rectify guest comments and concerns
- Assist in maintaining presentation and working condition of the facility including its amusement equipment, redemption counter, storage areas etc.
- Assist in maintaining stock levels of supplies for all game locations and Games Rooms
- Ensure the Games Rooms exceeds the cleanliness standards of Canada’s Wonderland
- Ensure that the facility consistently meets Canada’s Wonderland’s Standards throughout daily operations. This includes ensuring that all stations are fully equipped at the beginning and end of shifts
- Consistent communication with fellow Canada’s Wonderland and P1AG staff via radio calls
Qualifications
- Work safely and honestly
- Arrive for work on time
- Practice and adhere to Canada’s Wonderland’s and P1AG’s Standards, Policies and Procedures
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong computer/technical aptitude
- Keep the facility impeccably clean; even picking up and disposing of debris that is not yours
- Be polite and courteous with Guests and fellow team members
- Take pride in your job
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Minimum Requirements
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as required.
- Works well in a busy environment
- Ability to work under pressure while complying with all relevant legislation
- Some mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic personality
- Self-motivated
- Strong work ethic
- Experience with monitoring and controlling inventory an asset
- Familiarity with point of sale systems will be considered an asset
