Our School
Brakenhale School is a high performing 11-18 secondary school with a resolute determination to accelerate students’ life chances. Our team approach to everything we do helps us to do this. Furthermore, Brakenhale School is part of the high achieving Greenshaw Learning Trust (GLT) where the support and guidance is of a high quality.
An Ofsted inspection in January 2019 graded the school as ‘good’ overall. Areas were also awarded as ‘outstanding’. In September 2022, we had another visit. The letter is a pleasing read and captures our school well.
We are extremely proud of what we do and often talk of ‘refinement’ as the mechanism to make us even better. As a secondary school serving the local community, we had over 500 preferences for 210 Year 7 places for September 2022. Families want to send their child to our school; we are proud of this.
