Cloud Architect – AWS/ Azure
Location: Newcastle
Please Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this , which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.

As a Cloud Architect, you will:
Create business cases for technology and organisational transformation to enable migration to or utilisation of AWS and hybrid cloud
Assess and recommend the best of breed AWS technology solutions to address client needs
Develop solution architecture, implementation plans and estimates
Design and deploy enterprise-wide dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, secure and reliable applications on AWS full-stack
Act as an AWS Solution Architect, supporting delivery teams with migrating complex, multi-tier applications, or building new capabilities, on AWS and implementing appropriate cost control strategies
Create innovative, reusable solutions using AWS that can be taken to market
Mentor and develop the skills of Junior Architects
The following skills and experience are essential for this role:
Networking concepts (VPCs, NACLs, Routing, ELBs, Direct Connect)
Compute (EC2, ECS, etc)
Storage (S3, EFS, etc)
Database Services (RDS, Dynamo DB, etc)
Serverless (Lambda)
Cloud Formation, JSON, YAML, Shell scripts, PowerShell, Terraform
Microservices and containerisation
Security & understanding best practices and how to secure cloud resources
