What will your role be?

As an Associate Software Engineer, you will be provided opportunities to; learn, develop, and grow your skills and knowledge. You will be supported, mentored and coached by various colleagues, all with extensive expertise within their field.

As a member of Ancoris' Software Development team, you will be involved at all stages of our exciting Saas and mobile solution projects. From existing projects to greenfield initiatives, you will work as part of a highly capable development team committed to delighting the customer through the timely delivery of modern, high quality software.

What will you be doing?

  • Working within an Agile development team, you will create and deliver software for modern SaaS and mobile solutions.
  • We use a wide range of technologies, frameworks and programming languages to deliver our projects including, but not limited to: Python, Javascript, Java, React, Flask, Android, GCP
  • Regularly interact with our customers by way of planning sessions, demos etc.
  • Supporting our software products in life by way of responding to issues raised on production systems as required
  • Contributing to our high performance team culture through active participation in retrospectives and regular collaboration with team members.
  • Learning about emerging technologies within the Google Cloud space and applying these appropriately to solve customer problems

This may be you if:

  • You have a demonstrable passion for technology, regardless of your background
  • You might have completed a software development related bootcamp, apprenticeship, self taught some programming skills or finished a degree
  • Foundational/entry level experience with a programming language
  • You like problem solving. You will need critical thinking to deal with technical solutions and stakeholders
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to work collaboratively
  • You're curious. Have a desire to continuously learn, improve and understand the technology driving the industry and how it can unlock value for our customers
  • You will have the willingness to contribute to the business and our culture more broadly than just this role
  • Pragmatic, with the ability to compromise as and when business and technical needs compete
  • An agile mindset - a genuine belief in iterative development over more traditional approaches such as big upfront design
  • An understanding that software development is a "team sport" with the desire to work in a truly cross-functional environment
