Works under supervision.
In this role you'll use data analytics solutions to drive innovation and enable the cyber threat management strategy. You’ll also develop and implement threat monitoring use cases, derived from appropriate threat intelligence sources and advanced data modelling techniques.
Responsible for the assisting in the delivery within the Technical Development & Delivery function. This consists of:
- Technical development of the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), SOAR (Security Orchestration Automation and Response) and other relevant toolsets including DLP and Insider.
- Performs standard and non-routine administrative data processing tasks for leadership and gives colleagues advice on the proper performance of departmental processes. Accesses required information for specific purposes using the data management system.
- Works within current standard compliance processes, systems, and procedures, and reports simple non-compliance issues.
- Implements improvements and carries out simple change management tasks by following established procedures to support others.
- Performs simple risk monitoring and assessment tasks by following established procedures in order to provide support to others.
- Follows existing procedures and precedents in determining the correct course of action for routine functional enquiries.

What we are looking for...
Essential:
Demonstrable systematic and analytical approach to problem solving.
Strong quality and service focus.
Proven communication skills (both oral and written).
Desirable:
Awareness of Cyber Security industry related best practice.
Knowledge of other technologies (e.g. Cloud, Firewalls, Proxies, IDS/IPS).
Knowledge of any SIEM/SOAR/DLP/Insider/Database Monitoring toolset.
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Shell, PowerShell).
