Job description
In Global Product & Technology (GPT), our mission is to empower our brands for business and creative success by creating the next-generation suite of content publishing, membership and commerce experiences. We are a group of product managers, designers, engineers, strategists, and researchers dedicated to building innovative, user-centric products. You will be working alongside international colleagues across the world, working with stakeholders in our US and UK HQs as well as within our 10 other markets. We strongly emphasise cross-functional working through partnering directly with our functional pillars in GPT for Product, Engineering, Architecture, Design, UX and Delivery; as well as our business partners in Consumer Marketing, Commerce, Commercial and Licensing, Editorial and Data.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, user researchers, analysts, and marketing partners to prioritize the most impactful features.
- Contributor to product vision and product backlog
- Define user problems/stories and propose product solutions to address these
- Oversee a distributed engineering team within an agile / scrum framework
- Manage tactical projects and functional requirements
- Define, monitor, and analyze performance metrics, and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Champion the user experience without compromising key business drivers.
- Meet regularly with stakeholders across the business, solicit feedback, and build consensus.
- Work directly with internal engineering teams, as well as with partner teams who are your customers as well.
- Create and communicate your priorities and roadmap across the organization.
- Some professional experience working in Product Management.
- Experience working with engineering and design teams using agile or similar techniques.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Experience working on subscription businesses, and pay meter/paywall technologies - desirable.
- You have proven product development experience that includes requirements writing, prioritisation skills, and the ability to properly size a project, as well as a keen sense of design aesthetics.

- You will need to be as comfortable working vertically into the technical stack as you are at communicating goals horisontally and engaging other teams in your success.
- A passion for the media brands at the heart of this business is fundamental to the position.
- We encourage hybrid working but when you are in the office, this role will be primarily based in the wonderful Adelphi building with breathtaking views over the Thames and next to the hustle and bustle of The Strand. This is our London HQ and where members of our global teams sit enabling all of our award-winning content to be created.
