About this role
Closed End Funds Company Secretarial Administrative Assistant
BlackRock currently manages and administers 9 closed end funds with assets under management of c. £4.5bn. The department is staffed by a 9-strong team that provides marketing, administration and regulatory compliance for BlackRock’s Closed End Funds. The team is seeking to recruit an assistant to join the Company Secretarial team to provide administrative Company Secretarial support. The successful applicant must be articulate and well presented, with the ability to deal with senior individuals, good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team. They should have strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to three team Company Secretaries (collating papers for board meetings, uploading papers to electronic board books, helping to coordinate client meetings and shareholder meetings);
- Dealing with board and shareholder correspondence;
- Assisting with production of annual and interim reports and Forms of Proxy
- Assisting with AGM preparation (liaison with portfolio management team to prepare AGM presentations, draft scripts and proof-read documents)
- Assisting with regular share issues and share buy backs (updating shareholder authority tracking schedules, updating market announcements and making relevant Companies House filings)
- Assisting with ad hoc team projects (fund launches, placings and other corporate actins).
- Preparing and uploading stock exchange announcements (including month end reports, significant shareholding disclosures, announcements regarding directors’ dealings;
- Preparing and submitting Companies House filings and maintenance of statutory records;
- Assisting with website review and maintenance
The ideal candidate will be keen to progress and gain formal company secretarial qualifications.Support will be provided for study leave and exams.
