What you will do
This is a great opportunity to join a growing organization and accounts team in a varied role, assisting across a wide range of finance processes. This new role has been created due to growth in our business and would suit an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual eager to learn and pursue ACCA or CIMA qualifications. Study support is offered.
Key responsibilities:
Common to each responsibility is the need for strong analytical skills and the ability to accurately process and interpret large amounts of data.
Partnering closely with the Commercial team, you will support analysis and processing of our commercial sales rebates:

Processing and validating complex customer rebate claims, together with communicating with customers regarding questions and issues within those claims.

Maintaining and providing audit evidence regarding UK sales rebates to external auditors & handling initial audit queries.

Sell-through invoice testing to validate sales rebate claims.

Produce reporting to analyse UK and Ireland sales accrual balances.
Working as part of the financial accounting team, you will support all aspects of our financial compliance responsibilities, including:

Support with data analysis for compilation of the UK and Ireland VAT returns.

Support with month end and quarter end activities, such as Balance Sheet clearing accounts review.

Coordinate ad-hoc accounting requirements, such as ad-hoc accruals; journal entry requirements etc.

Analyse data and financial results for completion of statutory surveys.

Monitoring compliance with accounting policies, investigation and resolution of identified non-compliance and support in training our staff.
Be part of our team
You would be joining the UK & Ireland Finance team which provides a compliance bedrock for the growth of our business, together with a high level of support through forecasting, business partnering and commercial contracting. You would be working within both the FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) and F&A (Finance and Accounting) sub-teams.

Demonstrable understanding of numeracy and accounting (e.g. through relevant degree / professional accounting apprenticeship).

Strong numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to accurately process and interpret large amounts of data

A detail-oriented approach and a keen eye for accuracy.

Proficiency in financial modelling and Excel
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with internal colleagues and external customers
-
Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
-
Self motivated and able to work both independently and within a team
