What is the opportunity?
You will be joining the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) UK team. ERM is part of Group Risk Management and is responsible for defining and implementing an effective risk framework and governance structure across RBC’s UK and Channel Island operations, in particular for RBC Channel Islands Limited and RBC Global Assets Management, UK.
What will you do?
- Development of Risk Appetite for various UK / European entities
- Lead the Risk Identification exercise for various UK / European entities
- Take ownership of specific components of ICAAP deliverables and Recovery Plans for RBC subsidiaries.
- Continuous improvement of ERM processes and methodologies.
- Assist in the development and production of risk and management reporting to relevant committees.
- Providing training to junior members of the team
- Assistance with special projects and entity level initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline (such as Finance, Economics, Accountancy or other quantitative discipline).
- Experience in financial services
- Good understanding of Capital Management, Risk Reporting and ICAAP.
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to produce clear and concise documents
- Excellent presentation skills
- Good communicator and motivated
- Proactive and organized – delivery orientated
- Team player
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving capabilities
Nice-to-have
- Professional qualification, e.g. CFA / FRM / CA / ACA / CIMA
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks – Basel III and CRDIV
- Some understanding of Economic Capital methodologies
