Associate Creative Director – Design Job Description
We are looking for someone with big ideas to join our growing creative studio team. You will be creating brand identities, promotions, branded content and experiences for entertainment, airline, travel and luxury brands. But first, do you want to work with some of the world's most-watched Movie and TV content? Are you an expert in motion design and 3D? You could be our Associate Creative Director, a key new role in our Studio team.
You will be leading creative thinking on key client work and pitches. We are looking for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, who is hungry to create original and ambitious work.

Spafax manages entertainment and media networks for many of the world's leading airlines, delivering inflight entertainment, content marketing and advertising globally. Spafax Studio is our in-house creative agency developing brands, advertising and experiences for the international traveller audience.
The Role
Conceptual
- A conceptual thinker who can translate their thinking to creating exceptional creative work
- Create and deliver award-winning, compelling content for our clients and their audiences
- Expertise in pitching ideas, creating powerful, and persuasive arguments and proposals
- Lead the art direction of visual content for Design, 2D and 3D projects.
Production & Collaboration
- Reporting to our Head of Studio / Creative Director and supporting the creative needs of the business
- Manage creative projects including the conceptualisation and origination of design briefs and execution of the work across all disciplines.
- Work as a partner with client leads to realise the full potential of your creative work, executed to the highest level
- Guide, teach and mentor artists and creatives in developing ideas further.
- Collaborate with the creative team, including creative directors, art directors, motion designers, user experience designers, producers, editors and copywriters
- Collaborate with entertainment, retail, marketing, social, UX/UI, production, to lead concepts process and projects and meet objectives and targets.
- Manage creatives, ensuring highly creative output and quality control from conception through to delivery to meet creative, budget and deadline expectations.
- Guide, teach and mentor Artists to develop ideas further.
- Work closely with CDs, Design Directors and Designers to research, develop and implement new technology and creative ideas.
- Attend local awards and client events to build relations and create new leads for potential projects and business.
- Brief other members of the creative team and lead successful creative sessions for projects.
- Create, design and animate where necessary, in collaboration with others.
- Part-time remote, part-time in the office (hybrid).
Required Skills & Experience
- Creativity – You should always be looking for new ways to enhance our creative output. You should be able to generate relevant creative ideas and concepts then bring them alive in on-demand entertainment, print magazine, digital, social and experiential environments.
- Design: Strong command of design, able to express ideas elegantly and simply, with accuracy and relevance to audiences. You should be comfortable and excited by the opportunity to work across a variety of creative disciplines, with a focus on video and audio production, motion design and 3D, and extensions into print design, UX/UI, VR/AR and experiential. In-depth knowledge of motion graphics, 2D & 3D design and experience of design tools.
Ability to translate concepts into creative design. - Creativity and Innovation: Highly creative, with the ability to push boundaries and generate breakthrough with audiences
- Presentation - Excellent presenting skills are essential: compelling, credible, personable, and capable of instilling confidence and ensuring a good understanding of the brief.
- Teamwork – You should be someone who is happy working alone, with clients and in teams that span different countries. You should have the ability to lead when required as well as take a hands-on role.
- Entrepreneurialism – you take a proactive approach to ideas – you make things happen. Able to see the opportunities beyond the briefs and support client leaders to unlock. Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
- Collaboration - Collaborate with internal design and production as well as external relationships throughout delivery. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling projects.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Motion Design Art Direction.
