LOCATION: London, Birmingham, Bristol
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
We're currently seeking an Associate to join our hardworking, collaborative and diverse debt team working on a range of exciting and high-profile transactions.
The Corporate and Institutional Debt team (CIDT) is responsible for the origination and execution of loan facilities for our clients. The team transact a large volume of debt financings, ranging in complexity from amendments to M&A, as well as support ongoing credit events within the portfolio).
You'll support deal processes specifically in the Real Estate & Housing sectors (incorporating House Builders, Real Estate Investment and Development and Social Housing). We're looking for candidates that enjoy working in a deal based environment and are keen to develop their technical skills.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Support the Associate Directors and Director to deliver the wider CIDT business plan
  • Understanding and analysing the key risks associated with a debt transaction
  • Writing quality credit papers, building financial models and compiling reports
  • Producing engaging pitch books
  • Reviewing Term Sheets, Non-Disclosure Agreements and Loan Documentation
  • Building a good internal network with our colleagues in Coverage, Credit, Lending Execution and Rates.

What we need from you?
  • Ability to interpret client financial information, identifying key issues and put in place appropriate deal structures and controls.
  • Confident creating comprehensive financial models including sensitivity analysis.
  • Previous experience working within Commercial Banking with an understanding of the market environment in which we operate in.
