ASSISTANT BUYER
A small high-tech manufacturer is seeking a Buyer/Logistics person to join our team. The position requires knowledge of purchasing, supply chain, & logistics (shipping/receiving) in order to meet internal & external customer demand. This position is responsible for purchasing, materials requirements planning, & supplier relationship.
Job Description:
- Issue RFQ’s / PO’s to & communicating with vendors, support of product planning,
& shipment documentation
- Help maintain & update inventory vendor / manufacturer information & pricing
- Assist in inventory management, assignment, & documentation
- Work with Accounts Payable to resolve payment issues with suppliers
- Review open PO & Sales Orders status
- Verify orders & shipment were transmitted.
- Track/resolve unprocessed shipment transactions.
- Identify critical orders and set priorities
Requirements/Experience:
- Some work experience as a Buyer; Knowledge of purchasing processes
- Able to deal with purchasing issues, vendors communication
- Understanding of procurement, inventory control and process in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with drawings & BOMs in a manufacturing company
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- MS Office Suite proficiency, particularly MS Excel
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail is critical
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- 1-2 years minimum Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Project Management experience
- BS or an Associate’s Degree in relevant field, and/or relevant experience

PAY is DOE.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
