FARM PARK - SENIOR ASSISTANT
Church Farm Enterprises Ltd is looking for a Senior Farm Hand to join our team in Chester. We are a family-owned business that has been trading for over 15 years. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our family and help us continue to grow.

- Animal related qualification is desired but not essential, however you must have a passion for working with animals.

- Are able to multi-task and stay organized.
- Have good communication skills with others, especially with customers.
- Have the ability to learn new things quickly and adapt to changes in the business.
- Have good physical strength and endurance, as this job is based outside you must be able to move about the farm throughout your day.

BASIC JOB DESCRIPTION
- 5 days a week and must include 1 day at the weekend
- Working hours 9am to 4pm / 5pm in school holidays & weekends
- To manage up to 10 staff , work experience students, schools, groups and volunteers
- Manage staff rotas, organise staff holiday entitlement
- Weekly animal Feed orders
- Assist staff with animal husbandry and keep husbandry sheets up-to-date
- Facilitate keeper experiences
- Daily Clean and feed all animals, birds and reptiles
- Assist with bird auction preparations
- Assist with daily animal meet & greets
- Assist with job appraisals
- Come up with ideas for events and experiences at the farm.
Overall, the job requires management of staff but a passion for working with animals is essential. However the right candidate will be expected to learn and be involved with all aspects of animal care.
All training will be given and the selected candidate will shadow the main manager until they are confident in the job.
Previous experience in management is essential for this role
