Job description
Our London office is looking for an acquisition and asset management Assistant Vice President in the European Private Equity group.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Evaluating acquisition opportunities across Europe in various strategies and asset classes, including operating businesses and listed vehicle transactions
- Assisting in the underwriting and evaluation of real estate transactions sourced by others within the team
- Participating in the formulation of the overall investment strategy and focus areas
- Preparing presentation materials of investment opportunities for internal Investment Committee purposes
- Coordinating the due diligence and closing phase of the transaction in conjunction with internal and external parties
- Supporting the debt raising processes
- Managing investments through their lifecycle, including preparing business plans, periodic valuations and cash flow projections, and tracking progress against budget
- Overseeing the main asset management initiatives related to portfolio investments
- Identifying areas of risks to investments
- Analyzing and executing dispositions of investments as appropriate
- Follow-on/strategy orientated sourcing and transaction screening
- Providing leadership, training, and mentoring to the Senior Associates and Associates
Qualifications:
- 5+ years previous experience in real estate finance such as private equity, investment banking or corporate finance
- 3+ years of experience supporting senior investment team members on transaction execution and management
- Preference for a candidate fluent in one European language in addition to English
- Work as a self-starter who can function autonomously as well as collegially as part of a corporate team
- Ability to manage several parallel projects
- Demonstrate an ability to follow company’s best practices and values
- Strong academic track record
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, along with excellent communication and organization skills
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong writing skills
- Proficiency with Excel
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment
