Job description
We are recruiting for a Assistant/Trainee Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist who wishes to join #TeamIOWNHS. You should share our passion and drive to ensure that our patients receive quality and compassionate care and work with us to ensure the Trust continues its journey towards "great people, great place".
This is an exciting opportunity for a fully funded trainee Child psychotherapist post on the Isle of Wight to be part of our multi-disciplinary CAMHS Team.
There will be the opportunity to work alongside our colleagues in social services and our local schools to support our holistic approach in working with our young people.
Our team consists of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Nursing staff, Inreach / Outreach Community Nurses, Systemic Family Therapists, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, social workers, and Primary Mental Health Practitioners from a variety of backgrounds. We also have Psychology, Psychiatry and Nursing trainees regularly on placement.
The clinical staff group is well supported by our excellent administration team. The work is varied and challenging and balances the opportunity to provide direct therapeutic support to our most vulnerable young people and the opportunity to help us develop a service for children and young people, their families, and carers as well as to offer more generic input to the Island population.
