Job description
Following a recent s75 review, Buckinghamshire Council and Oxford Health Foundation Trust have renewed their commitment to working jointly to deliver services to people who need mental health support within Buckinghamshire. The post-holder will work closely with secondary health colleagues within a CMHT but with specific responsibility for the delivery of social care functions within that team. They will line manage and support the development of Social Workers, AYSE and the newly developed Social Work Assistant posts to promote safe and effective working practices. Developing a strong Social Work identity will be a key role for this post-holder.
The Deputy Team Manager will report directly to the Social Work Team Manager and provide supervision to Social Workers and Assistant Social Workers within the team. They will manage incoming referrals, prioritise urgent work such as Safeguarding Enquiries and oversee allocations. They will work alongside CMHT health colleagues to provide and promote a social care perspective and promote a holistic approach to the delivery of care and support. You will have a strong understanding of relevant legal frameworks within which we deliver our duties of care and the ability to communicate legal responsibilities to health colleagues. The post holder will develop good working relationships with key partner agencies both within the Council and third sector providers.

Support the Team Managers in the day to day operational management within Adults Social Care. To supervise
and provide leadership and motivation to a team of operational staff. To ensure the highest standards of service
are provided to the residents of Buckinghamshire.
Oversee triage of referrals and allocation of cases to team members
Provide regular supervision to Social Workers and Social Work Assistants in line with Trust Policy
Having Clinical oversight and input into complex cases
