Job description
An opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Assistant Team Manager in the One Front Door Team. One Front Door is a busy team whose primary function is to deal with new requests for support and provide a safeguarding and duty function for Adult Social Care.
You will be one of three Assistant Team Managers working in a fast paced, duty setting which requires cover between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. You will assist with the day to day running of the team and will have experience of providing professional supervision to other workers.
In addition to holding a professional Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England, you should have substantial post qualifying experience in Adult Social Work Services.
You must be able to work quickly under pressure, prioritising work and dealing with emergencies.
You will also have:
- Experience of multi-agency working
- Demonstrable experience of delivering person centred working and strength-based practice
- Experience of managing positive risk taking and making decisions
- Ability to lead, motivate, support, and develop Social Workers and Support Workers
- Effective planning, organisational and delegation skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex and sensitive information both verbally and in writing, including effective report writing and presentation skills
You will be part of a friendly and committed team who enjoy the variety and fast pace of work in the One Front Door Team. We are committed to learning and development and as an Assistant Team Manager you would be expected to support with Student Placements, ASYE and Social Work Apprenticeship candidates and will be supported by a programme of continuous training and development.
