Assistant Team Leader - Waste Collection & Cleansing
Salary range: £41,704 - £50,300
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours per week: 37
The Service
Do you want to make a big difference to the waste collection and cleansing services in Cornwall? We are looking for an engaging and motivated individual who is experienced in staff and contract management to join our high-performing and supportive team.
It is an exciting time as we make significant changes to our waste collection services, with a new service design including the introduction of wheeled bins, fortnightly collections and a separate food waste collection service.
The Role
The Assistant Team Leader will be responsible for leading the contract management and monitoring team, working with our partners to deliver high quality customer service in waste collection and cleansing. The role also has responsibility for contract administration, performance reporting and delivery of operational projects.
Who are we looking for?
You will be an enthusiastic, organised and effective waste manager experienced in staff and contract management, who is resilient and open to change.
Preferably educated to degree level (or equivalent), or with relevant experience, you should ideally be able to demonstrate your experience in managing customer facing service delivery, the management of contracts and have the skills to lead your team in changing the future of waste services in Cornwall.

Location
This role is based in Cornwall.
You will be required to work in a hybrid manner e.g. both from home and in office locations in Cornwall.
