Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, & spa services, has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual to help lead our team as Assistant Store Manager. This is a role for someone with a management and operations background, who understands hard work, how to deliver results, and how to train others to provide top customer service and ensure a great environment for the pups in our care.

JOB DUTIES
Operations
- Maintain our highest industry standards of safety and cleanliness
- Manage staff to ensure timely open & close of facility each day
- Ensure safety and cleaning operations are being maintained at Dogtopia’s highest standards, while always addressing areas for improvement within the facility
- Prepare Payroll, including verifying and calculating hours
- Manage inventory and maintenance needs for facility
- Identify dogs with behavior issues, and work with Area General Manager on behavior modification plans and dismissals, and manage operational needs for all dogs in the facility
Staffing
- Help Area General Manager with all hiring
- Onboard, train, and manage all Back of House staff members
- Create staffing schedule, and maintain optimum daily staffing
- Supervise staff execution of daily operations
- Lead by example via coaching the team on contributing to a positive team-oriented culture, and drive development of all employees
- Deliver written performance reviews and give employees positive acknowledgement
- Keep team engaged and motivated each day
Customer Service & Presentation
- Act as the face of Dogtopia with customers on daily basis
- Conduct tours for new and prospective families
- Assist with business growth as needed by Area General Manager
- Manage issues/needs that come up with customers
- Maintain a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times; including holding team to professional dress.
- Set example for team on internal and external customer service standards.
- Strive for high customer review ratings!
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional
- Ideal candidate has pior experience managing a dog daycare facility
- Minimum 2 years experience managing and motivating a team of 20
- Minimum 2 years exceptional customer service at a manager level
- Industry experience (e.g. running dog daycare, kennel, boarding facility, or vet clinic) strongly preferred
- Experience running full operations of a service facility strongly preferred
- Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends depending on needs of the daycare.
- Ability to work cohesively with others in a fun, fast paced environment
- Sales and Marketing experience a plus
- Store Manager experience a strong plus

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
