Hours 22.5 hours per week worked over 3 days across the week to included Sunday working
Salary £21,225 – £21,625 FTE. Actual salary £12,735 – £12,975 (22.5 hours per week)

The role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the team as an Assistant Shop Manager working at our Malvern Link Book shop. The post holder will play a key role working closely with and deputising for the Shop Manager in all aspects of the running a thriving and busy charity shop.
Key duties and responsibilities will include managing our wonderful team of volunteers for the store and also attracting and training new volunteers. Daily duties will include managing stock levels, sorting and pricing donations, merchandising and cash and record keeping.
You will assist in achieving set income targets and maximising sales, whilst manging and promoting the shop in the local area.
This is a role in which you can make a real difference, our Assistant Shop Managers are pivotal in contributing to the income generation for St Richard’s Hospice and raise the funds needed to provide care to patients and loved ones across Worcestershire.
About you
You will be committed to providing excellent customer service and have some experience and knowledge of the retail trade. You may have some previous experience of being a bookseller or experience of working in a library environment, or a keen interest and knowledge of books. Previous experience within the charity sector environment would be an advantage.

St Richard’s Hospice currently have 17 stores throughout Worcestershire, which achieved a turnover of £2.4m last year through the sale of good quality clothes, bric-a-brac, books and furniture, donated by local people.
The positions require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
This role may require supervision of volunteers under the age of 18.
