Hours: 16

Location: Northampton

Salary: £10.90 per bour

Closing date: 22nd March 2023

Our assistant managers are not standard retail assistant managers, they are superheroes who face different challenges every moment of the day. It’s hard work and can be physically demanding, but we all work to the same purpose which is growing the service that we can offer. Our shops are the window to our charity, and are the first point of contact for many members of the public.

Within TAAS we give you as a shop management, the trust, freedom and autonomy to manage your own shop and team. We don’t expect our management to be in the office every day completing reams of paperwork, but to be working alongside your teams, driving sales and standards on a daily basis. We look for and encourage creativity, courage and compassion from all of our employees and these core values help keep our service saving lives.

To enable you to deliver results you will work closely with the Shop manager, Volunteers, Area Manager, Retail HQ, and Fundraising Co-ordinators.

What you will need:

Our best people are strongly aligned to our values, Courage, Compassion and Creativity. These are at the heart of everything we do. Ideally you will have had some experience working in the retail or charity sector to give you an initial understanding of the sector we operate in. However, if you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, are target driven and can inspire a team we also want to hear from you. Please send us your CV and covering letter and we will be in touch.

Benefits

We can offer you above average holiday entitlement, a benefits platform to make your money go further and an organisation where you can thrive. We value a home/worklife balance, so we ensure you will be given a number of Saturdays off throughout the year. You’ll also be working in a role where you know that the money you raise will help us to continue saving lives.

Once you press apply you will be invited to complete some short assessments.

The role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

Environment

TAAS is an inclusive working environment where Equality, Diversity and Human Rights are guiding principles, individuals are respected and a value of having a diverse workforce is recognised. The recruitment, employment and development of people are based on qualifications, experience and competency to do the job, eliminating personal bias or prejudice.

As an organisation, TAAS are committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of children and vulnerable adults involved in any of our activities. Our commitment applies to all acting on our behalf, i.e., employees, contractors, volunteers, supporters, patient, donors and visitors, meaning that all have a responsibility towards safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults with whom they have contact with. Any new staff starting with the organisation will need to be committed to Safeguarding, complete relevant Safeguarding training and report any concerns they may have. TAAS operate a safer recruitment process, as part of our Safeguarding policy, which includes identifying and rejecting anyone who may be a risk to vulnerable people.

This vacancy may close before the closing date if the recruiting manager deems sufficient applications have been received. Therefore it is advised to complete your application as early as possible to avoid disappointment
