Job summary:
Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and the Operational team, the Assistant Restaurant Manager is key in supporting a successful delivery of dining experiences offered in The House of KOKO.
With a true passion for hospitality, food & beverage and team management, the Assistant Restaurant Manager will be contributing to delivery of a service, guest experience and internal development, as well as ensuring measures of health and safety and quality is met.
KOKO – The story so far….
London’s iconic KOKO reopened in Spring 2022 after a three-year restoration and redevelopment - a favourite of Prince, Kanye West, Amy Winehouse and Madonna, it relaunched as a state-of-the-art live music venue spanning 50,000 square feet, with ambitions to deliver an unrivalled experience for live music fans and with high spec streaming capabilities integrated throughout.
The House of KOKO
The House of KOKO is a new members’ club spanning four floors backstage at KOKO, which gives access to; a stunning new roof terrace and conservatory, dome cocktail bar, penthouse and recording studio, piano room, library, a hidden speakeasy, stage kitchen and secret vinyl rooms.
The House of KOKO hosts a Stage kitchen with its intimate, seasonal dining concept, a wide offering of all day dining, wine tastings, events as well as your family friendly Sunday roasts. On our Roof Garden restaurant we offer an elevated Mediterranean dining experience, where members can host lunches or dinners, attend events like music-led brunches and into later continue the night with drinks and DJ’s. The House of KOKO offers entertainment throughout, with each of it’s 7 bars creating a unique experience.
KOKO Café is our Italian brasserie styled restaurant loved by members but also open to the public. A Camden favourite, where we host all day dining, serve drinks in our Tap bar and have a wide offering of up-and-coming artists perform.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all aspects of the restaurant services, including guest experience, set up and service.
- Managing the team specific to their floor, including supporting recruitment, conducting performance evaluations, and addressing any issues with staff members
- Maintaining capacity in each floor, to ensure atmosphere is appropriate and licence is protected
- Determining staffing needs based on sales volume, special events, holidays etc, and the ability of creating a cost efficient, fair rota on a week-by-week basis.
- Obtain feedback on service quality, and handling customer problems and complaints
- Ensuring all areas are set and ready for service in accordance with expectations and conducting team briefs.
- Build a strong relationship & work alongside the wider operations team.
- Driving quality, consistency, and overall guest service and experience on all levels at all times
- Supervise Front of House staff to ensure quality services are provided in a challenging and rewarding work environment
- Being responsible for Team training of Safety and Food Safety practices
- Assist in completing departmental inventory, ordering and financial control points.
- Evaluate, respond, and make recommendations based upon member and guests’ needs to exceed service expectations
- At all times, adhere to Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations and licencing
