Assistant Reservations Manager (1 year maternity cover)

The Langham, London; Europe’s first Grand Hotel and Forbes 5\* rated property, is currently recruiting for an Assistant Reservations Manager to join our talented Reservations team. We are looking for a true hospitality professional, with the flair to deliver service at the highest level.
In the role of an Assistant Reservations Manager, your key focus will be to:
- deputise for the Reservations Manager in all aspects of the role
- assist the Reservations Manager to develop and review standards and procedures for the department
- take calls and answer emails personally to help the team handle the workload
- solve guest issues, complaints or requests when brought to your attention
- assist with recruitment, training, coaching and mentoring of the Reservations colleagues
- liaise closely with all relevant departments and build strong working relationships across the business
Do you have? -
- previous experience of working within groups and/or individual reservations in a similar size property
- previous experience of supervising / managing / leading teams
- knowledge of Opera and Delphi systems
- ability to handle high volume of activities and work under pressure
- excellent customer service skills; ability to engage with the guest and also iron out any glitches or handle complaints as and when they may arise
