The Opportunity We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to join the team at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa. Reporting into the Front Office Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the management, leadership and seamless operation of the Front Office Reception. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Assisting with the management of the Reception Department for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum profit contribution to the Resort. Effective leadership and training of reception team in the absence of the Front Office Manager, to ensure the efficient operation of reception and the delivery of excellent guest service. Promoting and contributing to a harmonious working environment where all team members are treated with respect and dignity. Ensuring quality standards and procedures are fully understood, implemented and regularly reviewed, and that formal and informal feedback is used to ensure continual improvement within the department. Ensuring company policies relating to cash handling, stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored, taking appropriate action to resolve problems. Ensuring the Reception team receive the appropriate training, coaching and development to provide a first-class guest service. Ensuring SOPS are developed, maintained, and followed by the team. Maintaining effective communication and relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, to maintain an effective operation and ensure exceptional guest satisfaction. Ensuring the reception and concierge area, fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented, with the highest standards of cleanliness and housekeeping. Ensuring a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and Company policy and procedures. Seeking to continuously develop knowledge relating to competitor activity, to provide input into future plans and activities, and so maintain and enhance market position. Nights cover as and when required to cover holidays and absence. Duty manager responsibility. What we are looking for Previous relevant experience working in a similar role in a guest facing environment Minimum of 1 year working within the hospitality industry. Previous experience of leading a team at supervisor level or above. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Conflict management solution skills. Excellent communication and IT skills. Problem Solving Aptitude. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure within a team. High standards of attention to detail.
