Due to continued success in securing major projects throughout the Welsh region, we’re looking for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our highly successful team in Wales. Our projects range in value up to £20m+ and are with a variety of high profile clients giving our Quantity Surveyors a diverse and exciting workload. Candidate Profile:
- You will provide assistance to the office technical and surveying functions, you are focused on delivering quality support and make the most of opportunities to develop your practical experience and broaden your knowledge of quantity surveying. You have a positive aspiration to undertake further education with the end goal of achieving a professional qualification with a recognised institutional body

Responsibilities:
- Providing support to experienced colleagues within your team. Proof-reading documents to check they are complete and accurate.
- Completing general administrative duties.
- Developing your knowledge and experience of quantity surveying.
- Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management in compliance with the organisation's Policies.
- Developing your understanding of the organisation's Policy and arrangements for managing your own personal safety while at work.
- Developing and adapting your communication skills, particularly with customers, to reflect the organisation's values.
- Increasing your understanding of Faithful+Gould's and Atkins' service offering and the benefits these bring to clients.
- Consciously monitoring how you interact with others, in accordance with the organisation's values.
Requirements:
- Possess at least five GCSE's (including English and Maths) at grades A - C and are committed to undertaking a Higher National Diploma followed by a degree course or have sufficient qualifications to gain immediate entry on to a degree course.
- A clean driving licence.
- Having knowledge and understanding of construction forms and techniques.
- Sound understanding of the main Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to write coherent and grammatical English.
- Clear understanding of the importance of accuracy and demonstrate this in all your work.
