Assistant Psychologist / Global Rater
We are looking for a conscientious, enthusiastic Psychologist / Assistant Psychologist (Cognitive Rater), to join our team at the Barbican. You will be responsible for administering psychometric and cognitive rating scales to clinical trial participants and their study partners, to support the delivery of the clinical research. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Team to support all aspects of participant care and the management of trial visits.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a degree in Psychology (minimum 2.1) and experience working with people who have Alzheimer’s Disease.
Experience with administrating the following scales:
- Clinical Dementia Rating scale (CDR)
- Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE)
- ADAS-Cog (Alzheimer's Disease Assessment Scale-Cognitive subscale)
- Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS)
Key Aspects of the Role:
- Performing rater assessments including ADAS-COG and CDR (non-exhaustive list)
- Working closely with study participants who may have Alzheimer’s Disease or other cognitive conditions
- Maintaining all rating equipment (e-diaries, tablets & study specific kits)
- Develop and maintain awareness of study protocols
- Undertake relevant clinical and research assessments as required, with appropriate training and delegation
- Attend Investigator Meetings & Site Initiation Visits & as needed
- Perform data entry and ensure timely query resolution
- Support Patient Engagement Team with recruitment through tele-screening, Patient Information Visits (PIVs) and other relevant recruitment strategies

Our Medical Team is led by Key Opinion Leaders across the fields of pain, cognition and psychiatry.
Role Particulars:
- Salary range: £28,000 to £35,000 p.a. dependent upon relevant experience.
- Part time or full time positions available - 16 to 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
- Location: Barbican, London.
