This is an exciting role split between the Developmental Paediatric Service 3 days a week and the Mindworks Neurodevelopmental Pathway 2 days a week - the days will be set and can be flexed upon agreement.
We are looking for someone to join our Service and work jointly with the 2 A/P's already established in DPS. knowledge of, and experience working with clients with, autism spectrum disorder is desirable for this role.
The role is to support the ASD Pathway across both services, collecting developmental history and completing assessments as indicated by professionals. Supporting the development of pre and post diagnostic packs for parents carers and the young person.
You will also work on audits and data collection for the service, including the Safeguarding Pathway. This will also include the feedback from families for Your Views Matter and various other audits within DPS.
Main duties are to work on the ASD Pathway across both services:
To carry out comprehensive assessments, plan implement and evaluate delivery of psychology interventions under the supervision of a psychologist / Paediatrician as part of a holistic approach working in a variety of settings.
To actively work with people who use services, carers, families and staff in implementing the care plan devised by the psychologist / Paediatrician.
To contribute to conducting clinical audit and research, maintaining current knowledge of research findings and development within the relevant field. To participate in quality assurance activities as required.
To contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of interventions driven by government initiatives and NICE Guidance.
To be aware of and implement Safeguarding Adult and Child Protection Policies, Procedures and legislation.
