Do you have a strong interest in working with individuals who come into contact with the criminal justice system?
This is a unique opportunity to work as an assistant psychologist embedded in probation offices under the guidance and supervision of qualified psychologists from St Andrew's Healthcare.
Within this role you will support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the Criminal Justice System (CJS); providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with the psychologist and within the overall framework MHTRs, and St Andrew’s policies and procedures.

You will facilitate effective communication within the NPS and other agencies that may include: primary care services, specialist mental health services, social care and third sector services to ensure continuity of care across all services.
Many assistant psychologists within St Andrew’s Healthcare move on to begin their professional doctorate in clinical or forensic psychology, and there is a possibility to remain with St Andrew’s Healthcare for their placements.
