Job description

RDaSH is offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Adult Mental Health services. This post offers the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a range of skills both embedded in a multi-disciplinary team and as part of a group of Clinical Psychology and Psychological Therapies staff.

The appointee will join a group of therapists who provide a wide range of psychological services across Doncaster Adult Mental Health teams. Teams are split by locality and provide a proactive integrated mental health service that prides itself in delivering high quality care.

As a group of Psychological Therapists we are dedicated to delivering structured evidence based psychological interventions to alleviate distress in individuals with complex presentations. We are looking for someone with a specific interest in working with adults with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. You will need to be keen to work flexibly within an MDT, and have well developed interpersonal skills. The post holder will be supervised and managed by a Clinical Psychologist, and will be based on the Tickhill Road Site in the CMHT base. We would like the post holder to contribute to the delivery of psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions individually and through group programmes. Evaluation of interventions and the impact of the service in terms of benefit to clients is an important component of what we strive to do.

We are keen to help our staff progress and gain a broad range of experiences. The post holder will be part of the wider RDaSH psychological therapies team and have opportunities to link in with other Assistant Psychologists working within the trust. RDaSH has good links to Sheffield University, including the doctoral programme in clinical psychology.
