Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join Surrey Mindworks Children and Young Person's (CYPS) Community Team.The successful applicant will support and enhance the professional psychological care of children, young people and their families who use services. This support would include the provision of psychological assessment and psychological intervention (individual therapy and group therapies), under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist working within the service. They will work with diverse children, young people and families with complex and challenging mental health needs. They will have access to mentoring, individual supervision by a qualified psychologist, and group supervision by both qualified and unqualified staff, including Trainee Psychologists from the University of Surrey.They will co-lead on service development projects, e.g., championing the use of outcome measures, and delivering therapy groups to provide a Countywide therapy group provision. The SE Community Team is a well-established, friendly and supportive Multi Disciplinary Team. The Assistant Psychologist is able to gain a range of therapeutic and clinical audit/ service evaluation experiences. They will be integrated within a group of passionate Assistant Psychologists in the NE Community Team, and will be well supported by the Psychology Discipline. There are ample opportunities for high quality specialist training to support career development.
