Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist post within the Therapeutic Intervention Service (TIS) of Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP). These posts will deliver, a number of group intervention programmes, for older people, within Dementia and mental health pathways.
The post will be located within the Mental Health Services for Older People directorate and is a County wide service with 2 x sub teams - including City and South Notts and Mid and North Notts. There is a long history of Clinical Psychology in MHSOP, and the department has strong links with the Trent Clinical Psychology training programme.
The successful applicants will work under the supervision of an experienced Clinical Psychologist. You will work as part of the TIS service and co-facilitate, and evaluate, a number of group programmes, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The service will have close links to various Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs) and acute admission wards, for older people, and liaison with primary care and other agencies will be an important part of the role.

To support and carry out defined therapeutic interventions.
To support interventions with staff teams, such as consultancy, training, identifying resources, multi-disciplinary working, signposting staff to appropriate services and service promotion.
To support data collection and analysis, for both clinical and service evaluation, as required. This may include collecting and reviewing a variety of data such as psychometric scores, interview data, historical information, literature searches. It may also involve data analysis and report writing under supervision.
