Job description
The Organisational Development team works to improve the organisation to deliver the best possible care for service users through enhancing and maximising experience for our staff. The team has portfolios of work that includes leadership development, staff wellbeing and engagement, and overall organisational culture. You will work alongside various professionals taking a psychologically-informed approach to improving staff wellbeing. You will help deliver the organisational wellbeing strategy by helping to develop and deliver various wellbeing related interventions. You will work at different organisational levels, ranging from 1:1 conversations with staff member through to supporting teams and delivering trust-wide interventions.
- You will work with Clinical Psychologists and other People Professionals to understand and improve staff wellbeing at work
- You will gain experience of all Clinical Psychologist competencies including psychological assessment, formulation and intervention
- You will be involved with both direct and indirect interventions for staff wellbeing and have the opportunity to do proactive staff engagement work through the wellbeing portfolio.
- Having a passion for using psychology to improve staff wellbeing, you will be supported to gain experience working psychologically in an exciting and non-clinical space

Working in a multi-professional team and under the supervision of qualified Clinical Psychologists, you will:
- assist in the provision of a psychologically-informed organisational wellbeing framework and service to staff members across the organisation.
- work independently according to a plan agreed with the Clinical Psychologists and within the overall framework of the service’s policies and procedures.
- collaboratively undertake psychologically informed assessments with staff members and leaders including observation, self-report measures, rating scales, and interviews with staff members and others
- participate in regular supervision with one or more qualified clinical staff.
- help enhance staff wellbeing following COVID-19 related disruption
- support colleagues within Organisational Development team for example via one-to-one or group intervention and training Qualifications and training.
Experience-
It is important that you have experience of working with people in either a clinical setting or other, similar supportive environment. Previous experience working with staff wellbeing, as an assistant psychologist or allied health professional assistant, or with teams or groups would be helpful.
Knowledge-
You should have good communication skills and an ability to communicate sensitive information with others. You should have an ability to apply psychological knowledge to a mental health work context.
