The post is based at New Horizon, which is a very accessible via the main routes and is close to local amenities.
The ideal candidate will be someone who has worked on an acute mental health care setting and who is motivated to work in a high demand and clinically exciting service. The ideal candidate will be someone who truly values the opportunities that the mental health professionals have in assisting people going through difficult times in their lives. They will have a psychology degree and be familiar with psychological models. The post holder will be under the supervision of a clinical psychologist.
The team is very supportive with many very experienced practitioners from different clinical backgrounds. We share a passion for experiencing different cultures through their cuisines and when COVID-19 rules permit, we share our culinary skills through work lunches.
- Attending MDT meeting to become aware of cases where a psychology review is needed
- Checking IAPTus to establish if someone is already under Talking Therapies
- Discuss cases in AP supervision
- See patients face-to-face or assess over the phone; jointly review with principal psychologist
- Attend patients visits with other members of the team
- Make phone calls to patients for follow up
- Liaison with other services
- Psychology degree
- Experience working on a secondary care setting
