We are currently recruiting for a Assistant Psychologist on a 12 month fixed term contract.

About the role

The purpose of this post is to provide support to children and their families who are experiencing emotionally related school avoidance (ERSA). As an Assistant Psychologist in the Emotional Health Service for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinating and co-delivering a pilot parent offer
  • Working closely with our schools
  • Completing evaluation of the pilot
  • Contributing to the ERSA team

About you

To be an Assistant Psychologist at AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

  • Putting children and young people first.
  • Hold an undergraduate psychology degree (2i or above)
  • Have experience in working with children with ASD and / or ADHD
  • Have experience in working in CAMHS or other child mental health services
