French Connection is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Production Merchandiser for Menswear and Accessories to join our Head Office team in Camden, could that be you?

Main responsibilities:
PLM (Product Lifecycle Management System)
- Ensure specific style information on the PLM system is up to date at all times
- Record bulk approvals in PLM.
- After style fits are completed ensure the PLM is all correct with ready to hand over to the factory for production.
Mainframe System FC (AS400)
- Set up season by data inputing all information from swatch book and pre-system Into AS400. Ensure setups are signed off by Head Production Merchandiser (HPM) before hand over to the Sales team
- Enter prices (Wholesale, Retail) into AS400
- Set up salesman order on the AS400 and customer split
- Keep all relevant team members informed of changes – add in’s/cancellations throughout the season
Pricing/Selection
- Chase first costs, minimums, product details and lead times for all styles and maintaining records on Share Point (excel) during product development/selection
- Advise the correct people of any changes to products that would affect selling and price
- Ensure all cost, wholesale and Retail prices are correct at all times
Swatch Book
- Work with the design team from when the style development packages are set up in the PLM system by design and update Swatch Book with all style changes and style Add Ins
- Set up swatch book pages in PLM system with all information in line with the Range Review date.
- Ensure the Swatch Book is accurate and checked with the necessary number of copies printed out for showing.
- Put colour card together for showing and sales team post season show range review
- Update PLM and Swatch book with all changes/ style and colour add INS
- Ensure on time delivery of swatch books ready to use for Sales team and all internal teams
Fittings and Samples
- Ensure all 1st fit/QA samples come into the business on time and are logged into EDI track upon receipt and samples passed to QA dept.
- Attend of sample fit sessions
- Meetings with QA on a regular basis to ensure all styles are on schedule to be sealed.
- Attend specified fit meetings with design team and update fit chart to be sent to buying teams.
- Feedback to Head Merchandiser with any problems or issues that could affect price or delivery.
- Sample management for all proto’s, SMS, pre production, shipping and photo samples
- Approvals and comments for samples and lab dips – communicating clearly to suppliers and country offices
- Communicate changes during fitting season to product such as colour, branding, sizing to sales teams/buyers and request their approval
Critical Path, Order Placement and on time delivery
- Review Critical path with Head Production Merchandiser’s at the beginning of season.
- Review the critical path on a regular basis in order to prioritise work correctly.
- Work with buyers and country offices to ensure placed orders meet factory minimums.
- Work with Head Merchandiser on direct supplier price and delivery negotiation.
- Amend purchase orders (PO’s) with any changes made after the order is confirmed.
- Ensure all delivery dates confirmed are workable against the delivery perimeters per season.
- Monitor Production Schedules on a weekly basis
- Work with Direct Suppliers or Warehouse to ensure Critical Path is adhered to.
Outlet Range and Wholesale development
- Building and sharing Inspiration boards with country offices to source new ideas
- Working directly with sales team and suppliers for off-price developments and generate CADs
- Working with Head Merchandiser to develop Outlet ranges for wholesale off price customers across all Ladies and Mens Accessories.
- Chasing cost prices, margins, minimums and deliveries are within the parameters for Outlet buyers.
- Chasing and maintaining the development for all ranges; ensuring that deliveries remain within the critical path.
General
- Provide administrative support to the production team for all ranges
- Take on tasks and mini projects as required by the team
- Comp shop collation when required
- Complete DHL sending out when needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
