Jardox are currently recruiting an Assistant Production Manager to join our growing team in a newly created role to support our Production Manager in our facility in Wincanton.
The Assistant Production Manager works in our factory, warehouse and office as the Production Manager’s right-hand, working with and supporting the team.
At Jardox, we are the "Taste Behind the Brands." We are a ‘one stop shop’ for all savoury ingredients. We specialise in stocks, gravies, curry pastes, marinades, glazes, sausage & burger seasonings and herb & spice based products.
We are looking for someone with previous experience of working within a food manufacturing environment at a supervisory or higher level.
Your main responsibilities will be the following:
· Supporting the delivery of the production plan within the costed structure
· Ensuring that your team is well managed, motivated and trained for their role
· Working to established SOP and HACCP principles, ensuring that health and safety is paramount
· Supporting the Production Manager to ensure continued high food safety and quality standards
· Supporting the Production Manager with recruitment and performance management of team members, ensuring a ‘high performance’ team culture across Jardox
· Proactively implementing lean manufacturing practices
· Planning day-to-day production and staff
· Deputising for the Production Manager in their absence
We are looking for someone with demonstrable planning skills with great communication and a hands-on team player. Strong food safety and health & safety knowlege is a must.
Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. 25 days holiday plus UK bank holidays.
We close between Christmas and New Year to give everyone chance to spend time with their families.
