JOB TITLE:

Assistant Production Manager

JOB TYPE:

Full time, permanent

HOURS:

Core factory hours between 6am and 10pm, potential rotating shifts and weekend attendance required on rota system.

SALARY:

£32,000 - £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

We are looking for an Assistant Production Manager to assist in the general management of the production and packing areas.

The successful candidate will be required to:

· Ensure food safety, integrity, legality and quality is maintained

· Ensure staff follow all Company procedures and health and safety standards

· Assist in day to day management of factory staff

· Liaise with all departments to ensure all orders/products are made and packed to the required safety, quality, quantity and cost to meet customer requirements and deliveries on time.

· Plan and organise staff to achieve successful and efficient completion of the production plan

· Assist to ensure sufficient/required level of multi-skilled staff are available and planned, and that staff have sufficient training to run lines required.

· Ensure supervisors have liaised with relevant departments to ensure all equipment, materials and packaging are available in sufficient quantities/correct time to ensure all processers start on time and operate efficiently.

· Ensure the correct completion of any daily, weekly and monthly reports/meetings and paperwork required.

· Assist in project work where required

· Any other duties as required.

Essential Skills:

· The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

· Methodical and logical with attention to detail

· The ability to lead a team with enthusiasm and determination to succeed.

· Understanding of lean and continuous improvement methodology.

· Computer literacy in both Company systems and a Microsoft Office environment

· The ability to handle and keep information relating to business and staff confidentially.

· Excellent organisational and administrative skills with ability to multi-task and remain calm in a pressurised environment.

· Quick to learn and proactive.

Salary: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
