The Role
Our Company has grown significantly over the last few years and with our continued success we are planning on further expansion. Due to this sustained growth we are looking for a passionate dynamic individual who is driven and would love to join our fast-paced team.
Our Assistant Production Managers are an integral part of the running of our Production Workshops, based at our Waltham Cross site the main purpose of this role is;
- Productivity of the workshop and ensuring the site completes the required units
- To own the customers’ expectations by being the sole contact point for the customer once vehicle arrives at site and providing updates throughout the repair process
- To be responsible for the overall cost of sale
- Ensuring the quality of repair of all vehicles is at the highest standard
- To deal with any complaints efficiently and ensure we contain them internally
- To ensure culture and ethos is consistently adhered to and understood
- Ensure parts are uploaded to iimage proactively and communicate with the Parts department on timelines
- Communicate effectively with the Production operatives to ensure a streamlined process
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customer in professional manner, check in the customer’s car and hand over the courtesy cars and complete all necessary documents
- Repair map the vehicle (with the assistance of the workshop) ensuring where possible to reduce our influence (COS)
- Discuss with the customers what repairs we intend to carry out, set the customers’ expectations correctly, advise ECD. Listen to the customers’ requirements and concerns.
- Work with the Office CLM to ensure the customers’ expectations are met and the preferred communication method is adhered to
- Ensure the customers’ expectations are communicated effectively with the production team and the preferred communication method is logged and adhered to.
- Create an iimage job card and ensure the parts ordering process is followed correctly
- Ensure all invoices are correctly uploaded onto iimage
- Update customer throughout the process
- Continually check progress advise the customer of any changes of ECD immediately
- Be aware of Service Level Agreements in line with current insurance partners
- Ensure the customer’s excess is collected and any other applicable charges and record accurately all required accounting paperwork
- Final QC
- To achieve productivity targets
- Ensure workshop documentation is accurate and comprehensive
- Statutory requirements fulfilled by everyone at site (Health and Safety, COSHH etc)
- To have consistent positive assessment by insurance company engineers
- To oversee the day to day running of the transport function at site, ensuring the drivers conduct their daily duties effectively, have all uniform and equipment required and to ensure an excellent customer service experience is maintained

Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
