This is an exciting opportunity to work for a newly established service in the Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We require an highly motivated individual to join our Adult Autism Intensive Support Team.

Based predominantly in the community, the post holder will take an active role in the provision of Occupational Therapy interventions.

Main duties of the job

Working with qualified therapists, these posts offer the opportunity to develop skills in support individuals who may require reasonable adjustments to access services, enhanced care planning and provision of therapeutic interventions. This includes, but is not limited to:

Everyday living skills and social inclusion

Sensory processing and engagement

Communication and interaction, and

Enabling environments

Experience of working with individuals with neurodiversity and/or mental health needs is essential to the post.

Person specification

Assessment

Essential criteria

  • NVQ level 3 in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Intervention or equivalent qualification (e.g. relevant BTEC, access course)

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of sharing the delivery of training to a variety of recipients, both professional and non-professional.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: £23,949.00-£26,282.00 per year
