Job description
We are seeking an Assistant Planner to join our Merchandising/Planning Team! In this role you will be range planning and forecasting to support Loaf's Made to Order business as well as providing a key supportive role to the team.
Some of what the job involves:
- Planning & forecasting demand, liaising with suppliers on intake and lead times.
- Review weekly fabric stock and sales & plan purchase orders accordingly.
- Liaise with manufacturers to ensure smooth production flows and relay any issues internally.
- Produce & present Shack lessons learnt, making suggestions to the retail team for seasonal sample changes.
- Managing new launches and exit strategies for fabrics and MTO categories.
- Assist with special projects aligned with company objectives & growth.
- Assist the MTO Planner with trading actions, and deputise in their absence.
- Produce, analyse and present daily, weekly and monthly reports and KPI's, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Managing and developing the Merchandising Admin Assistant.
What we would like you to bring to the table:
- Highly analytical and extremely organised - attention to detail is key!
- Great time management with the ability to multi-task and work to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills as this role will involve interaction with suppliers, warehouse and internal functions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and a have keen interest in systems.
- This role would be suited to candidates already operating at Assistant Planner or Merchandiser level with forecasting experience and a minimum 3 years in Merch/Planning.
- Furniture and/or fabric experience would be a bonus, a keen interest in homewares is essential.
