Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at York Sport. York Sport is responsible for the University of York’s sporting estate and for delivering University and community facing services in support of our mission to ‘improve opportunities that engage, support and inspire people’.
Within this role, you will provide support and assistance to the Senior Operations Managers and deputise in their absence in order to ensure the efficient, effective and economic operation across all York Sport facilities. You will also provide managerial support and leadership of operations team members in order to deliver customer service standards and to assist in the overseeing of delivery of those standards on a day to day basis.
You should have experience of operating in a large sports facility and of managing, leading and motivating a team. Knowledge of current health and safety procedures in a sports facility and policy and procedure development is also essential. You should hold the essential qualifications listed in the attached job description.
This is a full-time position for 37 hours per week.
The salary offered is £30,251.28 per annum.
