Pallet-Track is a UK-wide pallet distribution network, an opportunity has arisen within our central hub in Wolverhampton. Having started up in Wednesbury in 2004, we have grown from a team of eight to over 180.

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Operations Manager to join our fast paced night operations team.
You must hold a counterbalance license with recent driving experience.
Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Proactively manage the reload matrix and hub layout, optimizing where required
- Overseeing supervisors and team leaders to ensure safe loading and unloading of freight
- Supporting the training and development of all hub team members, from induction to personal development plans.
- Conducting disciplinaries, return to works and other personnel requirements
- Comply with all Health and Safety requirements ensure compliance with Site Rules, Risk Assessments and SSOW
Skills and experience required
- Highly numerate and analytical
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
- The ability to effectively handle contacts at all levels within the business, both internally and externally
- Be able to complete work to deadlines ensuring attention to detail at all times
- Have a positive, empathetic and customer focused approach to work
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to motivate people to drive continuous results
Working a permanent Night shift
47.5 hours a week Monday - Friday
