The UK brand marketing function is focused on the strategic and revenue growth priorities of the bank by delivering fair outcomes for customers.
The function focuses on understanding customers and the identification, development and execution of brand marketing strategies, campaigns and activities the support and strengthen the HSBC brand in the UK.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager - Social Media & Content. On a 12 month secondment.
This is an important role in UK marketing, supporting the Manager - Social Media & Content, this person will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all social media content marketing campaign activity and business-as-usual communications on our UK social media channels.
The role is responsible for ensuring all marketing communications activity and content is innovative, platform specific, aligned to the brand and cohesive.
They are also responsible for sharing best practice across the marketing community, as well as keeping abreast of emerging cultural and digital trends and areas of innovation which can influence the way we interact with our customers, audiences and internal stakeholders.
In this role, you will support the Manager - Social Media & Content with:
- The delivery of marketing campaigns from concepting & briefing right through to execution across multiple digital channels, regularly producing and publishing organic social content
- Working with business stakeholders to define marketing campaigns to create compelling agency briefs with clear objectives and targets
- Gaining compliance, legal and brand sign-off for all marketing activity, ensuring all social media & content marketing campaigns are delivered in a consistent and compliant manner
- Campaign reporting on a regular basis and provide actionable learnings, optimising accordingly
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- 3-5 years proven experience working in social media & content for a market-leading brand, with demonstrable experience of delivering impactful digital campaigns
- A strong team player who can contribute productively to team objectives
- A creative thinker with the ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
- Naturally creative, curious and passionate about digital communication and internet culture
- An agile worker with the ability to adapt to an environment which experiences change, tight timelines and volume pressures
- Excellent creative brief writing & project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple agency suppliers and internal stakeholder relationships simultaneously
- Exceptional knowledge of the social media landscape, passion for digital communication and a strong understanding of internet culture and latest technologies
- Basic Adobe Suite (Photoshop) skills & knowledge of influencer marketing would be desirable.
This is a Hybrid role with a base location of 8 Canada Square London with an expectation to be in the office as business need dictates
