We’re looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to join our team
Our busy city centre nightclub has exceptional standards and is one of the most popular venues in Cardiff. It is an establishment that is very well known and therefore requires a deputy manager to match the high expectations that both guests and management are looking for.
The Person
You will be expected to have at least one year's experience within a busy operation.
As a strong and experienced leader, you will be able to coach and motivate your team to deliver the standards and service that you expect of yourself and the establishment. Initiative, drive and ambition are key to this role, as is personality and excellent communication skills.
You will need to be able to demonstrate great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
We require all of our Deputy Managers to have a personal licence.
Role overview
Reporting to the General Manager, the Deputy Manager assists with the the day-to-day operation of the facility, playing a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of customers and staff, and guaranteeing the highest standards of service. This includes the supervision of staff to enable the smooth operation of the facility.
The venue primarily operates as a nightclub on a Wednesday night until 4am, Friday & Saturday night until 5am and as a bar on a Sunday night until midnight.
Key responsibilities of the Deputy Manager include:
- Assisting the General Manager to ensure that the venue is ready for use in accordance with the planned opening times and activities.
- Ensuring that all areas of the venue are maintained to the highest possible standards of safety, cleanliness, security and operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Providing visible leadership to staff, ensuring they are motivated and operate to the high service standards expected.
- Contributing to managing the performance and ongoing development of staff.
- Maintaining a clear customer focus and high visibility within the venue, proactively developing and maintaining high standards of customer care.
- To undertake any other duties commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £26,000.00 per year
