An opportunity has arisen for a suitibly experienced manager to join our community services. The Assistant Manager will be responsible, within a framework of agreed objectives, for the day to day management of the delivery of community day services and will deputise for the Community Services Manager.
Location: Working across all community-based services in Hartlepool & East Durham
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Saturday)
Job Purpose: To assist the Community Services Manager in the day-to-day management of community based services
Salary: £16.18 per hour
Contract Period: Permanent
Key requirements: Valid current UK driving license and access to a car during working times
- To support the day to day management and operations of community based services, working with staff to ensure that the high standards of the Hospital of God are applied at all locations.
- To maintain and develop a system of support planning and review which meets the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of each service user and to ensure that this system is supported by an effective recording system.
- To ensure that care practices accord with Hospital of God policies including the policies and rules contained within the employee handbook and to take appropriate action if they do not.
- To implement a system of pre assessment that ensures that the needs of people are assessed in the light of the service provided in order to ensure appropriate care delivery
- To ensure that there are effective systems for the protection of vulnerable adults.
- To maintain effective working relationships with officers of the local authority and other relevant external agencies.
- To support the development of new services as agreed and within the Hospital of God Strategic and Business Plan.
- To work corporately as part of the Hospital of God Management Team in the management and development of the charity.
